Hi! My name is Nicole Stephens, and I like to make things.
As an illustrator, I’m really interested in making work that encourages and inspires kids of all ages, especially those who are neurodivergent like me. In general, I like making things that reflect who I am and what inspires me in the moment. I strive to show the wonder in the everyday with the things I create. I bring a unique perspective and strong problem solving design skills, and I want to use those skills to make things I'm proud of and bring joy to others.
My first time through college, my main area of study was music, with art history and philosophy thrown in for fun. I’ve recently gone back to school, working towards an AAS in Graphic Design. While here, I’ve won awards for my illustrations, photography, animation, and an award for Outstanding Graphic Design Student. I also like to watercolor, and three of my paintings were chosen for the “Small Art, Big Show” at Stone Soup Galleries.
I currently live in O’Fallon, Missouri, with my husband and two kids. In my free time I still like to play bass, guitar, and sing; read, watch sci-fi, laser things at the local maker space, and eat sushi.
